Funeral Service

I consider it a great privilege and an even greater responsibility to be involved with families and friends in one of life’s most poignant and significant occasions. A funeral is as much about life as it is about death and the gathering of memories is a therapeutic experience for all concerned.

I ensure that the tribute to the deceased is sincere, well researched and well prepared. In my experience listeners respond appreciatively to the depiction of a person which is real and affirming of their humanity.

I do my best to make a sad occasion into a beautiful memory, my touchstone being the ring of sincerity and truth.

At an unhurried meeting with family I will ascertain:

• The life story of the Deceased
• Your Music preferences
• Whether prayer or psalms will be included
• Whether a hymn or hymns will be sung
• Poetry and/or Reading preferences
• Involvement of Clubs or Associations
• Tributes
• Flowers
• Candles
• Photos

I am available to assist you in the preparation and conducting of other memorial ceremonies eg Burial of Ashes, Unveiling of Headstones and Memorial Services.
